Check the distance from your exact accommodation to the places you plan to visit, rather than assuming that every address in Agadir is within walking distance. A car can make sense for repeated outings beyond your immediate neighbourhood, but parking and fuel still belong in the budget.
Staying in Taghazout: one base or several beach stops?
Taghazout is a recognised surfing destination on the coast near Agadir. If your accommodation and surf provider already cover your planned transfers, you may not need a car every day. Check exactly what is included. If you want to choose your own departure times and visit different coastal stops, compare a rental for those outing days with a full-stay rental.
Do not choose a larger car just because you are bringing surf equipment. Confirm board dimensions, luggage capacity and any suitable accessories with the rental team. A vehicle category does not guarantee a roof rack or permission to drive on beaches or unpaved tracks.
Staying in Tamraght: start with your accommodation address
For Tamraght, ask your host about the walking route to your planned activities, access with luggage and parking near the property. Whether you need a car depends on that exact address and your outings. If you arrange local collection, send the accommodation name and a map pin so the team can confirm an accessible meeting point. Do not select Taghazout as a substitute simply because the two locations are nearby.
Compare three practical options
No rental car: suitable when your planned transfers and local journeys are already covered. Confirm arrangements and prices with the providers before relying on them.
A car for selected days: useful for independent outings while avoiding rental days when the car would stay parked. Include the cost of reaching the collection and return points.
A car for the whole stay: useful for frequent journeys or changing accommodation. Compare the full rental total, fuel and parking against your other transport options.

Airport collection can be practical if you need the car immediately after landing. Local collection can suit a holiday that starts with several days in one place.
