Car Rental Insurance Excess in Agadir

Rental car key and insurance documents at Agadir Airport

Understand the two insurance options

The expressions “no deposit”, “insurance included” and “zero excess” do not mean the same thing. Comparing them separately makes it easier to understand what is included in the rental price and what financial responsibility may remain after damage or an accident.

PAFRENT rentals include Full Insurance with Excess and unlimited mileage. No security deposit is required in cash or as a card hold. Optional Full Insurance Without Excess can reduce the damage excess to EUR 0 when its conditions are met. The signed rental agreement and insurance terms remain the controlling documents for each rental.

What is an insurance excess?

An excess is the amount for which the renter may remain responsible under the insurance conditions after covered damage or an accident. It is not the rental price and it is not automatically the same as a security deposit.

A rental can therefore have no security deposit while still including insurance with an excess. PAFRENT does not block a security amount on the customer’s card, but the insurance conditions still apply. Read the complete no-deposit explanation.

Full Insurance with Excess included in the rental

The included cover is described as Full Insurance with Excess. It provides the standard insurance basis for the rental while retaining the excess and applicable exclusions. Before collection, review the agreement for the applicable amount, authorised drivers, permitted use and incident procedure.

If an incident occurs, contact PAFRENT promptly and follow the instructions in the rental agreement. Do not arrange repairs or admit liability without guidance from the rental team and insurer.

Optional Full Insurance Without Excess

The optional cover can reduce the damage excess to EUR 0 in the event of covered damage or an accident, in accordance with the rental and insurance terms. The option has a minimum insurance charge of seven days, even when the rental itself is shorter.

The daily price depends on the vehicle category and appears during booking. Selecting the option is voluntary and must be confirmed as part of the rental.

What the optional cover includes

During the rental period, the optional cover includes the breakage of one front windscreen and damage to one tyre, subject to its terms.

Important exclusions

  • Additional windscreen or glass damage.
  • Additional wheels, tyres or punctures.
  • Daños causados por un conductor no registrado en el contrato de alquiler.
  • Daños causados por usar el combustible incorrecto.
  • Llaves del coche perdidas o dañadas.
  • Documentos del vehículo perdidos o dañados.

Other rental and insurance conditions may also apply. Review the final agreement rather than relying only on a short web-page summary.

Five checks before choosing cover

  1. Confirm which cover is already included.
  2. Check the excess that applies to the selected vehicle.
  3. Review the exclusions and authorised-driver requirement.
  4. Check the full insurance price for the complete rental period, including the seven-day minimum charge.
  5. Keep the signed agreement and incident contact instructions available during the rental.

Frequently asked questions

Does no deposit mean zero excess?

No. No deposit means PAFRENT does not require a cash security deposit or place a security hold on a card. The excess depends on the selected insurance.

Is Full Insurance with Excess included?

Yes. PAFRENT publishes Full Insurance with Excess as included in the rental price.

Can I reduce the excess to zero?

The optional Full Insurance Without Excess can reduce the damage excess to EUR 0 when its terms are met. Exclusions and a minimum seven-day insurance charge apply.

Does zero-excess cover include every tyre and window claim?

No. The published option covers one front windscreen and one tyre during the rental period. Additional glass, wheels, tyres or punctures are excluded.
