Unlimited mileage car rental lets you plan your Morocco itinerary without a daily kilometre allowance. With PAFRENT, unlimited mileage is included: you do not pay an extra distance charge simply because you drive more kilometres during the agreed rental. Fuel, rental duration, insurance conditions and any location-related transfer fees remain separate considerations.
This distinction matters whether you are staying in Agadir, visiting Taghazout or planning several stops along the coast. The useful question is not only how far you may drive, but also what your full rental agreement includes. These five checks help you compare quotes on the same basis.
1. Understand unlimited mileage car rental
A limited-mileage offer sets a distance allowance, often per day or for the whole rental. Driving beyond that allowance can trigger an additional kilometre charge. An unlimited-mileage rental removes that particular calculation. You can adjust your sightseeing plans without continually checking whether your next detour will exceed a distance cap.
For illustration, a seven-day hire with a hypothetical allowance of 100 kilometres per day would include 700 kilometres. A 900-kilometre trip would exceed it by 200 kilometres. This is a comparison example, not a PAFRENT tariff: PAFRENT includes unlimited mileage, so there is no equivalent excess-kilometre charge.
2. Budget for fuel separately
Unlimited mileage does not mean free fuel. PAFRENT uses a same-to-same fuel policy: return the vehicle with the same fuel level recorded at collection. Check the level together when receiving the car, and keep your collection record. Before returning it, allow time to refuel without rushing to an airport appointment.
Your fuel budget depends on the vehicle, distance, load and driving conditions. Compare the fuel type and gearbox shown for each car rather than assuming that two vehicles in a similar price range use the same fuel. For a first outline of your stay, the official Agadir and Taghazout tourism guide can help you choose destinations before estimating the driving involved.
3. Check rental days and return locations
Distance and time are different parts of the price. PAFRENT charges started 24-hour rental periods. For example, a car collected on Monday at 10:00 and returned on Thursday at 10:00 uses three such periods; returning later can start another charged day. Confirm the exact pickup and return times when comparing totals.
A different collection or return location may also produce a transfer fee. Unlimited kilometres do not remove that charge. Enter the real locations in the booking search, read the transfer-fee line when applicable, and compare the final total rather than only a daily headline rate. Our Agadir car rental prices guide explains the main items to compare.
4. Keep insurance and permitted use in mind
Unlimited mileage car rental is not permission to drive anywhere or use the vehicle for any purpose. Ask the team about your proposed itinerary if it involves unusual roads, border crossings or activities outside an ordinary holiday drive. Do not infer off-road or cross-border permission from the absence of a kilometre limit.
The included Full Insurance with Excess also remains subject to its terms. No security deposit does not mean that the insurance excess is zero. Check the amount shown for your chosen vehicle and read our insurance and excess guide. Optional zero-excess cover, where offered, has its own eligibility, minimum-duration rules and exclusions.
5. Choose a realistic route and suitable car
A flexible distance allowance is most useful when your itinerary leaves room for breaks, parking and changes of plan. Avoid building a day around distance alone. Think about the number of passengers, luggage space and how comfortable you are with the selected transmission. A larger car is not automatically the best option for every journey.
Compare the available rental cars, then search your actual dates and locations. Keep your confirmed return appointment in view while planning day trips. Unlimited mileage makes distance budgeting simpler, but a relaxed itinerary still depends on allowing enough time for the journey and returning the vehicle as agreed.
What should your quote confirm?
Look for unlimited mileage, the charged rental days, fuel policy, included insurance and excess, optional extras, any transfer fee and the total price. If one item is unclear, ask before confirming. That is a more useful comparison than choosing a low daily figure whose other conditions have not been explained.
